Embarking on the fall season with its 16th annual Dallas Contemporary Legends artist, Dallas Contemporary proudly presents the works of noted artist, teacher and administrator Joseph Havel. In stunning galleries filled with elegant forms cascading in space, Dallas Contemporary will feature the graceful sculptures and fabric conceptions of Joseph Havel. Havel uses common materials ~ white dress shirts, curtains, tablecloths ~ translating limp fabric into flamboyant bronze sculptures and delicate constructions that quietly suggest movement in a process the artist has described as uncovering "the activity of still objects."
