Legends 2007
September 7 ~ October 27, 2007Roger Winter : Painting 40 Years
exhibition sponsor Allen & Kelli Questrom
In its 15th year honoring Legends in our community, Dallas Contemporary proudly mounts the paintings and early work of the 2007 Legends awardee, Roger Winter. During a lifetime of art, Winterís imagery has recognized his time while staying true to his own personal vision and visual vocabulary while reflecting the grand trends in contemporary art. From the minimalism and reductionism of the 1960s, Winter created a style that blends photo-realism and neo-impressionism. In wall-sized and medium paintings, this dedicated artistís 40-year career captures family life in suburbia and the cacophony of New Yorkís urban street scenes.
