Dallas Contemporary has two missions, one to exhibit local Texas emerging artists and the second is to educate students of all ages.

Our education process started with a big idea and a small audience ~ four pilot schools and under 300 students served in 2004 -2005. Our pilot program reached students at The Sheton School, Skyline High School, Townview Magnet Center and W.T. White High School.

In just one year we have changed it all, we are now a big idea reaching an even larger audience. In 2005 - 2006 we have grown from 4 pilot schools to 15 high schools and have served over 7,500 students throughout the district. We love that we have been able to have such wonderful relationships with DISD and we look forward to expanding our efforts and meeting the needs of all 23 high schools!

Within the 2006 year we will be publishing the first round of our Art Think Journal thanks to the help of The Hudson and Hillcrest Foundations.
